Date: Thu, 3 Jun 2004 17:44:50 -0500 ====================================================================== The XXII International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory Lattice 2004 http://lqcd.fnal.gov/lattice2004/ Third Bulletin ====================================================================== LATTICE 2004, the XXII International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory, will take place at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory Batavia, Illinois, USA June 21-26, 2004 Important dates: Abstract submission: May 24, 2004 (closed) Hotel reservations: June 7, 2004 !!! Registration (on web): June 14, 2004 Proceedings due: September 14, 2004 HOTELS and TRAVEL The hotel deadline is serious: the hotels would much rather sell their rooms at a higher price, and they believe they can do so. For the Holiday Inn, please book BEFORE 7:00 am Monday Chicago time. See the first bulletin and the website for detailed hotel and travel information. STUDENT SUPPORT All students are eligible for the reduced fee (see Students' registration form). In addition, we have a limited amount of travel support for students. Note that the on-line registration process is not finished until the fee has been paid. If you are a student and have not been contacted, please ask your professor to e-mail us, or simply pay the reduced fee now. If you are a professor sending a student, please send us a note telling us how much support you are able to provide from your grant. We cannot support your student without this information. Late responses may arrive after all the money has been committed. REGISTRATION Please register before June 14, and preferably sooner, if you are coming. Indeed, some of you have submitted abstracts, but not registered. Please plan on attending the Welcome Reception on Monday evening, June 21. You will then receive a conference pass to the Fermilab site. PROGRAM An overview of the schedule is also available on the web site, as well as a list of plenary speakers. We will provide live streaming video of the plenary sessions, and archive the streams for future access. For those of you leaving late Saturday or on Sunday, tours of Fermilab will be arranged for Saturday afternoon. PARALLEL TALKS and POSTERS Parallel talks will be 15+5 minutes. Please prepare an electronic file (ppt, Keynote, pdf, or ps). Handwritten transparencies are welcome (especially if your handwriting is nice), but we ask that you scan your own transparencies. If you use a laptop, keep in mind that landscape mode projects better, and check that your foreground and background have sharp contrast (avoid yellow or light green on white, or one dark color against another). Please use your own laptop. The spaces for posters are 42" wide X 48" tall (107 cm X 122 cm). Please make sure that passers-by can scan your title at a glance. Parallel talks and posters will be allotted 3 pages in the proceedings, and all speakers should plan on sending us write-ups by Monday, September 14. WELCOME A welcome reception will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, June 21, in the Symposium hotel Holiday Inn Select Naperville Hotel 1801 N. Naper Blvd. (intersection of Diehl and Naperville Roads, near Interstate 88) Naperville, Illinois Please attend and visit the registration desk during the reception. It is important to do so, because it will provide you with a Symposium pass allowing you access to Fermilab during the Symposium. One-day visitors passes will be left at the Pine Street Gate for all registered participants. If you are unable to attend the reception on June 21, you will be able to pick up the one-day pass at the gate to get on site. Once you register at Wilson Hall for the Symposium, you will receive your name badge that will serve as a gate pass for the remainder of the Symposium. VENUE The Symposium will take place in Wilson Hall, Fermilab's high rise. There is a public e-mail center on the ground floor of the building, and wireless internet throughout.
